Hydroseeding is a cost effective solution for revegetation of large areas. Hydroseeding is the application of seed, fertilizer and water that is mostly combined with a soil stabilizing polymer to reduce wind erosion of the soil and hold seeds in place for germination.

Hydroseeding can have a lower rate of success compared to Hydromulch as the seed is distributed on the surface of the soil rather than being encapsulated by the mulch, however it is commonly used for flat or gently sloping sites or as a application method to revegetate sites after the installation of Jute mesh.
